Live Storytelling 1990-Present

A Performing at Emerson School.

Live Storytelling is my ongoing performance practice.

I began telling tales in 1990 on street corners and parks in Philadelphia to anyone who would listen. Five years later, the Mayor of Parsippany, NJ invited me to be the feature at a campaign fundraiser and thus my professional career began.

Since then, I have performed in the United States and abroad at coffeehouses, cafes, schools, bookstores, private parties, haunted hayrides, conferences, and at festivals such as the New York City Spoken Word Festival, the (original) Digital Storytelling Festival, and the Yukon International Storytelling Festival.

My repertoire consists of urban folktales, fairytales, contemporary short stories, and original tales performed while accompanying myself on electric bass.
