Organized by the Transformative Language Network, and founded by Goddard College, this conference features experiential workshops on a wide range of the expressive language arts and right livelihood, performances, open readings, and celebrations. The Dixon Narrative Workshop is a full-day, nuts-and-bolts exploration of the art and craft of narrative journalism with award-winning narrative nonfiction author and magazine writer Lauren Kessler, accompanied in this workshop by multi-media reporters Katie Campbell and Michael Werner. This lively, intensive workshop is designed for writers, reporters and editors – veteran and novice alike – committed to their craft and eager to enhance their storytelling power.

Professor of Public History and Director of the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling, Concordia University, Montreal.
Anne Karpf
British writer, journalist, broadcaster and sociologist; author of the acclaimed The Human Voice: The Story of a Remarkable Talent.
Rab Wilson
Scots poet, recent holder of the Robert Burns Fellowship and winner of 2008 McCash Scots Poetry Competition. A former mining engineer and currently a psychiatric nurse.
