If you really want to get off sugar you could start today. You could start right now!
Here’s my dare: stop eating sugary foods from right now until this time three days from now.
3 days. That’s it. That’s how you can start to stop being sweet. No last minute quick bites, just commit to it and start now.
Go for it!
Just wanted to say this was exactly what I needed at this time—thanks. I did great in November, December, January. Then in February my husband complained that he couldn’t buy me a special chocolate for Valentine’s Day, and I started to think “I can handle just a little bit.” Over the past three months I have treated, snacked, and binged more and more. But three days, I can do that, right? This is day three, and the difficulty I’ve been having proves that I really needed to do this. (I also need to work on my “sustainable abstinence plan”.)

Right now your sustainable abstinence plan is 3 days long—totally doable. After that, eat something sweet and then go 4 days. Maybe repeat that a few times until you feel you’ve mastered it.

@David
When you say “After that, eat something sweet and then go 4 days, ” do you mean eat ONE thing sweet then abstain again, or eat sweet things that whole day, then abstain the next day?
LOL. that should give you an extent to the magnitude with which I am dealing with here.
But I eat extremely healthy everything else. Hmm. Even the sugar i get is “organic”. Doesnt matter. I cant stop.
