Sugar Challenge: January 2009

December 31, 2008

Happy New Year!

This month’s challenge is an easy one. Avoid sugar.

People often ask me how I managed to stop being sweet.

They say, “How do I quit sugar?”

The answer is, “avoid sugar.”

Start now.

Imagine that sugar is a dangerous substance that causes disease and depression.

Pretend that if you eat it you will get sick and feel depressed.

Imagine that we live in a futuristic society where large corporations govern our everyday lives by using mind control and that we are part of an underground movement of independent thinkers.

The first step in our independence is to stop being sweet and keep off the sugar.

It’s the sugar that makes us more susceptible to their constant media campaigns which the companies shamelessly pump into our minds on a daily basis.

After a month without the sugar we’ll start to see clearly again, and it will be the first step in the independent thought movement.

But we have to get sugar free before we can see straight.

Remember, this is a pretend game we’re playing, but this month we’re all playing together.

Don’t tell anyone what you’re doing. Just avoid sugar of all kinds (fruit, however, is okay as it makes us think more naturally).

Remember, big corporations want us to be their worker bees. We work for one place and mindlessly spend our paychecks buying company goods, all the while eating sugary products made by yet another company. We must end this oppression.

I am going to stop eating sugar! I’m glad to be part of an underground movement of independent thinkers and to let allow sugar and the companies that sell it to have any power over my mind (or my health). I will start today. Thank you, I’d been looking for something like this.

I realized I had a sugar problem back in 2003 after a weekend-long binge on raw chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate covered pretzels. As a result, I began trying to quit sugar but kept failing. Finally, I figured out a way to stay off sweet junk food for good.
