So You Want to Quit Sugar?

December 10, 2008 Comments (4)

smileI’m so happy. I can’t believe it’s really happening. Stop Being Sweet the book is finally online. I’ve been working on this book for a long time. First it was understanding what I did to get off the sweets, and then it was synthesizing it into a presentation so that I could explain it to people. Then it was finding the time to write all that down in a cohesive way. And now it’s here! Stop Being Sweet version 1.0. The book is direct and easy to read. It simply answers the question “how do I quit sugar” in a step-by-step way.

My goal for 2009 is to get a link-list of resources (books, videos, and websites) back online and add the new and improved forum here so that we can all easily communicate and support each other.

Thanks to everyone who has visited the site and supported my efforts and my struggle against sugar consumption. I hope you like the book.

I am wondering what kind of changes you have noticed in your physical self since you stopped eating sugar? How did it affect you? How do you control your desire for sugar when everyone around you is partying with Cakes and Cookies…. drinking beer or wine… I really want to stop eating sugar and some of the things which has suger.  If you have anything you can share with me to enhance my self control…

Thanks.

Hi Seehras,

The physical changes I’ve noticed are listed here.

Initially, during parties, people will tease you and offer you sugar. But in time, as long as you make it “over the hump” they won’t even offer you any knowing that you won’t eat it. You simply have to rough it through the first few times. You can bring a dessert of your own, something like a fruit salad, and eat that while they have cake.

The Stop Being Sweet eWorkbook explains step-by-step how to get off the sugar.

Hello!

I’ve been a fan of your blog for a long time and I am thrilled to see you’ve put a book out!  It in fact is perfect timing because i’m planning to quit sugar on January 1st.  Keep up the good work!
