In the Olympics people have one shot at winning. Some people train their whole lives for that one moment.
In sports, teams work together to be the best and they do so by working play-by-play, game by game over the course of a whole season.
Imagine yourself training for that Olympic moment. Every single morning you’d put some sugary doughnuts on the table and then you’d say, “No,” and throw them in the trash. Your coach would yell, “Hell yeah! That’s how you do it!” and you’d do it daily. You’d videotape yourself and play it back in slow motion to analyze yourself and correct your technique. When competition day arrived, you’d have said no to sweets so many times you wouldn’t even feel like you were competing.
If you joined the Anit-Sweets sports league, you’d practice daily with team mates. You’d help them toss sugar and they’d help you. You’d do it every single day. Some days would just be practice, other days would be the real deal—fancy dinners with friends, going out with the kids, lunch meetings in the middle of a long day at work. Each time you would compete with sugar and you’d add up all of your goals. Sometimes things would work out great, sometimes you’d fumble, but you wouldn’t give up completely because you dropped the ball once.
When you Stop Being Sweet it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.
