TV Dinner

This week’s challenge might scare some people away. It might not be possible for you to do successfully. I certainly will have trouble with it.

For one whole week, don’t eat anything that comes in a shrink wrapped or vacuum sealed package.

I know, I know… EVERYTHING comes in packages. But the carrots at the supermarket don’t. And there’s stuff in the bulk food aisle at the grocery store.

You might not be able to eat every meal in this way but try anyhow.

Let’s see what happens.

So far today: eggs and an apple. But I already blew it. I had peanut butter from a jar with my apple. I’m not giving up!

I had cheese! Won’t give up either. I have read that the sugar lactose in milk helps get the infant mammal to eat, and is concentrated in cheese which might explain why lots of us sugar addicts will also overeat cheese. I could easily eat a whole 10 oz roll of Trader Joe’s blueberry vanilla goat cheese ( no added sugar).

About Me

I realized I had a sugar problem back in 2003 after a weekend-long binge on raw chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate covered pretzels. As a result, I began trying to quit sugar but kept failing. Finally, I figured out a way to stay off sweet junk food for good.
