Sugar Challenge: March 2007 A

February 18, 2007

Do you remember what you ate last week? This month’s sugar challenge is not to avoid sugar. Instead, write down everything you eat from the 1st through the 14th of March. You might also record how you feel each day—happy, tired, annoyed, blissful, etc. Include as much information as you can but the main thing is to keep track of your food intake.

Two weeks ago I was journaling and I kept track of all feeling and every food.  I felt great after the fourth day.  Fourth day was the hardest, killer headache, strong emotions, and lack of concentration.  Took a bath and went to sleep felt fresh and clear in the morning.
Unfortualtely I relapsed and here I sit, having to start over again from scratch I feel hopeless and discouraged, yet I am willing to try again for the march challenge, How can I make it past the second week and make this a lifetime commitment.  I feel losing my teeth and developing other disorders and maybe diseases one day if I do not get a grip on this addiction soon.  When is “the lightbulb” going to come over my head and stay on so that i can remember what sa drug sugar is 4, 5, 6 weeks later?  Taryn

WE CAN DO THIS!!  I am tired TIRED of this awlful, painful distraction.  I’m tired of the binging…feeling like crapola…wasting money on crap food.  For those that want some motivation, read Sugar Blues by William Dufty.  It’s amazing all the lies around sugar.  Sad thing is, I read it, was determined, and then got back in the wrong mode.  What about a weekly check in with people?  I’m down for that.  Inspire each other?  Anyone can write me at .(JavaScr ipt must be enabled to view this email address).  I really want to go 3 months no sugar…and I mean no sugar at all.  Using lemon instead of salad dressings, because there is sugar there and in most products.  I’m ready to feel better, and think better!

About Me

I realized I had a sugar problem back in 2003 after a weekend-long binge on raw chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate covered pretzels. As a result, I began trying to quit sugar but kept failing. Finally, I figured out a way to stay off sweet junk food for good.
