The Machine Works Building is quickly becoming one of the first new buildings to be complete along the North West section of the Pearl District. LA Fitness will move in (presumably moving from it’s location in NW Portland where they took over Gold’s Gym) and be located on the first floor. That will give Pearl District residents two large chain health clubs to choose from. 24 Hour Fitness is just a few blocks away not to mention a few smaller private boutique workout spaces.
More local office buildings/work spaces means more chances to live in the Pearl and walk a few blocks to work. Maybe this will help justify paying $1500 a month in rent for a small studio.
