What Is Tai Chi All About?
A student asked a question during class.
“In a sentence,” she said, “What is it we are doing here?”
Great question. I had to think about it for a moment.
“We are practicing the art of turning negatives into positives,” I answered.
In essence, I see all mind body practices as just that.
Take a bad situation and change it for the better.
Overcome offensive or invasive forces.
Change your broken body into a healthy one.
Stop self-defeating thoughts and expand your horizons.
Know and control yourself. Have confidence in your own self-reliance.
Be an agent of positive change.
That’s what we’re doing when we practice Tai Chi Chuan.
